King’s Contrivance Newsletter
The Crown Prints, our village newsletter, is published twice a month and inserted in the Columbia Flier, which is distributed on Thursdays. Macgill's Common Tot Lots
At the Village Board Meeting on September 18, 2024, Jason Heath, from Columbia Association, gave a presentation on reimagining Tot Lots in Macgill's Common.
The proposed plans from CA involve five tot lots in Macgill's Common. The upgrades to the tot lots at Wayover Way and Cape Ann Drive have been completed.

- Bamboo Removal Cape Ann Drive
- Beaver Run Project in Macgill's Common
- The project involves providing cover and stabilization for an existing sewer main and a water main along the Beaver Run Branch in Kings Contrivance. Click here for a map of the location with the limits outlined. Howard County DPW expects the work to begin this summer and should last approximately 3-4 months. All the work will be within the Counties Public right-of-way, but will be accessing by right-of-entry agreement with CA.
